The Pyramid of Khafre, also known as the
Pyramid of Chephren,[is the second-tallest
and second-largest of the Ancient Egyptian
Pyramids of Giza and the tomb of the
Fourth-Dynasty pharaoh Khafre (Chefren),
who ruled from c. 2558 to 2532 BC.

Arabic), a small village in Nubia, southern

Dendera (Arabic: ‫دندرة‬ Dandarah; also spelled

on the west bank of the Nile, about 5
kilometres (3 mi) south of Qena, on the
opposite side of the river. It is located
approximately 60 kilometres (37 mi) north of
Luxor.

Egypt).The valley stands on the west bank of the
Nile, opposite Thebes (modern Luxor), within the
heart of the Theban Necropolis.[
