Introduction
Societe Generale is a long-term player in Brazil, with a continuous presence here since 1967
Societe Generale has rapidly grown that presence recently, through addition of human and capital resources, as well
through acquisitions of local banks
Given Societe Generale’s strong ambitions in Brazil, it is looking to utilize its global expertise and leadership in
infrastructure project financing and advisory, and apply it locally in Brazil
Hence, we are seeking project finance underwriting opportunities and selected advisory opportunities utilizing our
local Brazilian team, combined with our teams in New York and Europe

Experience
Societe Generale has substantial Brazilian experience in its energy / offshore project finance
business, where it has been a long time player. With the development of the infrastructure
market in Brazil, Societe Generale is willing to be a strong player in that field and is making
necessary investments to meet this goal (human and capital). With the same approach and
will, Societe Generale became a strong player in the Canadian market, being on e of the top
lender and advisor. Our most recent experience in Latin America includes the Sao Paulo
METRO Line 4 and the DP World Callao Port in Peru.
PFI/PPP Experience Involved since the inception of the UK Private Finance Initiative (“PFI”) in 1992, Australia since
1995, and Canada since 2005, Societe Generale has a substantial global body of experience
and expertise in PFI/PPP transactions around the world, including Europe, Australia, Canada
and more recently the US and Latin America.
