How school has changed
My Grandma is 76 years old.
She started school in 1942 and finished in
1953.
She went to school in Canterbury in inner
Sydney.

2. When Grandma was at school…
- All students walked to school (no buses
or car drop offs).
- There were 32 students in every class.
- Teachers hit students with a cane if
they were naughty.
- There was no air conditioning or heating.
- There were no computers.
- There was no canteen.
