 Rabbit Run, feared at first because of the obscenity, well received and no legal actions
National Book Award for novel, The Centaur, inspired by childhood in Pennsylvania , 1963,[object Object]
[object Object],   Boston where he briefly taught at Boston    University ,[object Object],   settling with her three children in     Georgetown, Massachusetts ,[object Object],   Pulitzer Prize for Fiction ,[object Object],   for Rabbit at Rest ,[object Object],   President George H.W. Bush ,[object Object],   the Humanities from President George W.    Bush, one of the very few Americans to   receive this award
