2. Founded in 1912, Waldron H. Rand &
Company, P.C. is one of the oldest
accounting firms in the country. The history
of Waldron H. Rand & Company is the
history of the U.S. accounting profession.
It was a great year to be a Beantown
baseball fan. Fenway Park opened and the
Red Sox won the 1912 World Series beating
the New York Giants. Al Jolson’s “That
Haunting Melody” topped the charts.
The accounting profession was in its infancy
and Waldron Rand would play a critical role
in shaping the growth of his chosen field.
