2. Introduction
• A veterinarian since the early 1990s, Dr. Jennifer
Creed has a wealth of experience caring for a range
of companion animals. Particularly interested in
purebred cats, Dr. Jennifer Creed maintains
memberships in several cat fancy organizations,
including The International Cat Association.
In addition to overseeing a registry of pedigreed cats
and household pets, The International Cat
Association (TICA) conducts a variety of programs
to recognize and support cat owners and breeders of
all ages.

3. International Cat Association
• For youths, TICA offers the Junior Exhibitors
Program, which educates cat fanciers under the age
of 18 about responsible cat care and exhibition.
Each participant in the program is paired with a
mentor who assists them as they advance through
the program’s six levels of learning. Once they reach
the higher levels of the program, some participants
are able to test their skills by serving as a junior or
co-show manager during one of TICA’s cat shows.
