1. REPORT ON participation of Homeopathic Wing in “Government
Achievements and Schemes Expo-2017”
A 3 day exhibition “Government Achievements and Schemes Expo-2017” was
held on July14-16, 2017 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, India. The exhibition was
organized by NNS (National News Service) Events &Exhibitions Pvt. Ltd.,–
India’s most diversified media group since 1950 with focus on various welfare &
development schemes of central and state governments; PSEs; Micro, Small &
Medium Enterprises (MSMEs); Health, Family Welfare, Women & Child
Development; Directorate of AYUSH: Rural & Tribal Development; Development
of Khadi, Village Industries & Handicrafts etc.; Banks, Financial Institutions;
Pollution Control; Power & Energy Conservation; Insurance & Research Institutes;
Warehousing & Technologies.
The exhibition provided a platform for all the departments under government at
center, states and union territories to showcase their public welfare and
development schemes and achievements. It also provided an interactive platform
for various boards, autonomous bodies and corporations.
The Homeopathic wing of Directorate of AYUSH also participated in the
exhibition and got the platform to exhibit various achievements of the department,
towards the health of all, in the Delhi state.
Information regarding the number of dispensaries (103 till date) under the
directorate of AYUSH (Govt. of Delhi) was provided and shared with the general
public with the help verbal communication, sign board and hand bills. Strengths of
homeopathy were elaborated to the masses.
Good number of people were also referred to the nearby Delhi Govt.
Homoeopathic health centre for free treatment and consultation. Also, queries
related to their illness regarding the treatment, general and specific management
was also explained in detail.
2. Two GDMOs from our department were posted at the exhibition. Dr PawanGoel
(CMO-NFSG) was posted on July 15, 2017 and Dr Chander Mohan (CMO-
NFSG) was there on July 14,15 and 16, represent the Homoeopathic Wing of Dte.
of AYUSH at Expo 2017 at Pragati Maidan.
GDMO posted at the Expo Mela explained to visitors that more than 1.5 lakh
patients were availing homeopathic treatment for their illness during 2016-17 from
well qualified doctors deputed at the Dte. of AYUSH, Delhi Govt..
Information about the IPD treatment facility at Nehru Homoeopathic Medical
College and Hospital and Dr. B. R. Sur Medical College and Hospital was given to
many visitors who had no idea that there was an IPD facility also available in
Homoeopathy in Delhi, especially for chronic cases management.
Many parents and students visited the stall seeking information related to education
and admission to the Homoeopathic courses in Delhi. At present two Colleges are
running in Delhi under Delhi Govt. and nearly 200 homoeopaths are graduating
every year.
Active participation of our Homoeopathic wing in various Govt. health related
programmes like Pulse polio, counseling and motivation of general public for
immunization, family planning etc was also explained to people visiting the stall.
Information related to departmental E news letter (homoeopathic-pulse/

presence of portal of homeopathic wing on Delhi govt. website
(http://delhi.gov.in/wps/wcm/connect/doit_ayush/AYUSH/Home ) has been given
to the visitors. E news -letter and presence of information related to
homoeopathy on Delhi govt. portal is appreciated by the visitors, as by this anyone
can update his or her knowledge and information related to Homoeopathy in Delhi
State.
Hand bills illustrating the strength of Homeopathy in pregnancy, geriatrics,
pediatrics and childhood behavioral problems were distributed. Information related
to Homoeopathy in various diseases was also displayed at the Expo site that
provided awareness to the general public.
3. Information related to Dengue/Chikengunia/Malaria and its prevention through
Homeopathy was explained to the inquisitive visitors.
On the concluding day a memento was presented to our department for active
participation.
