The Seven Deadly Sins Leading to Employee Dissatisfaction
What are the things that are most important for an organizations to fix in order to improve employee
satisfaction? To know for certain for any given organization, you have to properly measure
employee satisfaction. In general terms, though, organizations (usually companies) often share some
of the same critical problems.
In order to identify those problems, organizations need to find out the “critical factors” that leverage
satisfaction among their employees.
In a review of 100 recently completed studies nine items were found to be “critical factors.” Several
of these critical factors were so similar they were combined, leading to the final list of seven deadly
sins. Most of the factors are the types of things that can be corrected without large expenditures of
money.
3. Here, in order of “least to most problematic” are the Seven Deadly Sins. Combined, one or more of
these items was a critical factor in 96 of 100 studies.
