2. We are the
Hopeless
Romantics;
a small group of college
students in a Banned
Literature class, interested in
reading some of the world's
most contentious literature and
exploring the sordid pasts and
content that accompany them.
3. The aim of this site is to provide an in-depth look
at D.H. Lawrence's controversial novel, Lady
Chatterley's Lover, and investigate the reasons
behind its scandalous history and the correlation
with First Amendment rights.
All kinds of books have been banned in the past
and continue to be challenged, year after year.
Our intent is to look at why this is, and explore the
perceived ramifications.
