Facts <ul><li>-In the colonial schools they all had religion. </li></ul><ul><li>-Most of the schools in the 1600's had religious sponsership </li></ul><ul><li>-They were taught reading, writing and arithmetic </li></ul><ul><li>-many children were taught from a hornbook which had there lessons on it. </li></ul><ul><li>-Some of the schools taught only boys and some taught only girls </li></ul><ul><li>-Poor children didn't get any education at all </li></ul><ul><li>-Some children also had private tutors. </li></ul><ul><li>-The ABC's might have been in roman numerals. </li></ul><ul><li>-The children were also taught on a paddle which also had the lessons on it. </li></ul>

More Facts <ul><li>-One of the books that they used was the bible to learn from </li></ul><ul><li>-They had went to school at around 7 a.m </li></ul><ul><li>-The girls also studied art,music,French,needle work,spinning,weaving,cooking and also nursing. </li></ul><ul><li>-They also learned how to work a plantation for when they get older. </li></ul><ul><li>  </li></ul>
