Universal Design
 Goal:   to maximize the learning of a range
  of traits by applying UD principles to all
  aspects of instructions.
 Everyone is a different learner and prefers
  different methods of learning.
Implemented in Education
 Creates  multiple ways for learning:
 Creates multiple ways of representation,
  expression, and engagement.
 Gives a chance for every student to learn
  the material
Ways to use UDL
 Have  more hands on experiences (i.e
  experiments and labs)
 Use of Smartboards, and other kinds of
  technology such as laptops and iPads
 Instead of lecturing, use objects to help
  demonstrate the topic for the day
UDL in progress
 Teachers  are putting more effort in when
  it comes to using UDL in the classroom
 Some say it’s a struggle but worth it in the
  end
