2. Rabbi Simcha Bunim Bonhart of Peshischa (Przysucha, in
Poland) (1765–1827) was one of the main leaders of Hasidic
Judaism in Poland.
Over three hundred years ago, Rabbi Simcha Bunim of Pshishke told
his disciples: Everyone must have two pockets, with a note in each
pocket, so that he or she can reach into the one or the other, depending
on the need. When feeling lowly and depressed, discouraged or
disconsolate, one should reach into the right pocket, and, there, find the
words: "For my sake was the world created."
But when feeling high and mighty one should reach into the left pocket,
and find the words: "I am but dust and ashes."
A man once complained to Chassidic master Rabbi Simchah Bunim of Peshis'cha: "The
sages of the Talmud say that, 'One who runs away from greatness, greatness pursues him.'
Well, I've been running away from greatness all my life, yet greatness has not pursued me!"
Answered Rabbi Bunim: "I'm sure that greatness is indeed pursuing you, as our sages
promise. The problem is that when you turn around to check if it is running after you, you
frighten it away."
3. 7. And the Lord God formed man of dust from the -
ground, and He breathed into his nostrils the soul of -
life, and man became a living soul.
27. And Abraham answered and said, "Behold now I have
commenced to speak to the Lord, although I am dust and
ashes.

day, please explain how in detail.
4. 11. Beware that you do not forget the Lord, your God, by not
keeping His commandments, His ordinances, and His
statutes, which I command you this day,
12. in case you eat and be satisfied, and build good houses
and dwell in them,
13. and your herds and your flocks multiply, and your silver
and gold increase, and all that you have increases,
14. and your heart grows arrogant, and you forget the Lord,
your God, Who has brought you out of the land of Egypt,
out of the house of bondage,
15. Who led you through that great and awesome desert, [in
which were] snakes, vipers and scorpions, and drought,
where there was no water; who brought water for you out of
solid rock,
16. Who fed you with manna in the desert, which your
forefathers did not know, in order to afflict you and in order
to test you, to benefit you in your end,
17. and you will say to yourself, "My strength and the might
of my hand that has accumulated this wealth for me."
18. But you must remember the Lord your God, for it is He
that gives you strength to make wealth, in order to establish
His covenant which He swore to your forefathers, as it is this
day.
5. 28. The hidden things belong to the Lord, our God,
but the revealed things apply to us and to our
children forever: that we must fulfill all the words of
this Torah.
Proverbs Chapter 22

even riches, and honour, and life.
