You can find a decent range of designer towel radiators, such as those in the Reina radiators range. Some of these radiators are truly awe-inspiring and they often double as an art feature.
Five reasons to install a towel rail radiator in your bathroom
1.
2.
3. The vast majority of homes sport a towel radiator in the bathroom.
There are some key reasons for this, beyond what you might have
imagined is obvious (i.e. that they dry your towels). The importance of
towel radiators in the bathroom goes much further than that, and if you
read on, you’ll find out why.
Reason 1: They Help Dry Your Towels Quickly
This is the obvious reason, and a reason we’re aware that you will
already know. It’s the main reason why people install towel radiators in
the first place.
However, you might not quite have understood the importance here.
Yes, it’s nice to step into a nice, warm, and dry, towel when you get out
of the shower or bath, but more importantly, because the towel
radiators dry the towels quickly, it helps to prevent mould and bacteria
from growing on the towel.
This means that it actually enables you to use your towels much longer
before washing them. In this respect, towel radiators save you money
(and effort) on your laundry needs.
4. Reason 2: They Help to Prevent Mould and Mildew in the
Bathroom
There are two conditions that lead to mould and mildew in bathrooms:
damp and lack of ventilation. Towel radiators clearly won’t help with
ventilation – you need a window or an extraction fan for that. They do
help with damp, though. By heating the air, they lift the damp off the
walls, and the damp is then removed via the window or ventilation.
Bathrooms that have no source of heat will quickly develop problems
with mould and mildew. It can look incredibly unsightly.
Of course, any radiator or heater will do, but you have the added bonus
with a towel radiator that you can use it to minimise the damp from
towels and mats.
Reason 3: They Give You a Place to Store Out of Use Towels
Many towel radiators, such as some of those in the Reina radiators
collection, feature a shelf or two. These shelves are designed to hold
those towels that you are not using right now.
5. The great thing about these shelves is that you do not have to put your
towels in cupboards, where, as many of you know, they can become
damp and smelly over time – even when not in use.
Reason 4: They Look Great
While this might be a matter of personal preference, in terms of
appearance, most people prefer vertical radiators to horizontal
radiators. Towel radiators are invariably vertical, and so they are
preferred over horizontal radiators for use in bathrooms.
As well as this, you can find a decent range of designer towel radiators,
such as those in the Reina radiators range. Some of these radiators
are truly awe-inspiring and they often double as an art feature.
Reason 5: You Can Use Them in Summer and Winter
The vast majority of towel radiators are what we call ‘dual fuel’. This
means that we can use them throughout the year. In winter, you use
your central heating to warm the radiators. In summer, you switch the
radiator to its electric setting and use electricity. It saves you from
having to turn on the entire central heating during the hotter periods,
which in turn saves money and energy.
