3. AURUM METALLICUM
Aurum mettalicum derives its names from gold
‘shining dawn 'the glorious color of light as
sunrises. The early morning of light s often
associated with freshness and purity and so as
the gold .

4. The gold is a noble metal which remains pure in its
natural state unchanging ,uncorrupted and also
has been signified as symbol for its purity &
royalty

5. •The aurum type persons are Honest , Correct ,
Well Educated , Disciplined and Highly
Ambitious ; at the same time Sensitive ,
Refined , Easily Hurt , Sensitive to any
Criticism . They are Introverted , don’t share
Emotions , Serious with a touch of Sadness .
Emotional weakness , Mentally Strong , Out-

6. The aurum type typically represents as a successful
ambitious responsible honest industrious people, who
wants to lead rise and shine, they rise into situation
where people become dependent on them and they feel
to maintain there power .

affects bones and glands tending to destruction
of tissues while its action on hearts results in
degeneration of the tissues and their reflex
symptoms. It degenerates even blood and causes
hemorrhage.

Make up of the body : Aurum met. Is suited to
sanguine Person ,ruddy people, with black hair
and eyes, they are very cheerful like pulsatilla,
fair complexion reddish people, they live for love
and affection, old people who are tired of life
due to misdeeds having no desire to live and low
spirited ,lifeless pinning boys. Constitution
broken-down by bad effects of mercury and
syphilis.

13. Temperament: melancholic an irritable
temperament
Relation with heat and cold: very chilly
patient
Miasm: syphilis is background.
Diathesis: scrofulous.

14. Guiding symptoms
 Suited to old people, who are tired of life, in whom
syphilis is implanted on a scrofulous constitution.
 Profound melancholy and constantly dwelling upon
suicide.
 Hurried and worried; uneasy and restless.
 Aggravation from sunset to sunrise.
 Oversensitive to pain, smell, taste, hearing , touch.
 Desire to be alone and aversion to company,
melancholic, desire coffee and alcohol and aversion for
meat.

 The main idea essential to Aurum is DEPRESSION and
LOATHING OF LIFE.
 Ultimately, this person does not want to live. This idea will be
found in practically every Aurum case, whether the patient
admits it openly or not.
 Aurum patients are closed people. They are not easily able to
confess their innermost feelings.
 In the end, they may freely use the word "depression" but they
may be incapable of describing their state more specifically.

any close friends to whom they can tell their

coming outwards as rage becomes inwards .at this stage they
become completely depressed and dark ,suicidal impulse comes
in there mind they think “one jump and there will be relief”

pray and weep a lot.

Violent pain in head; worse at night, outward
pressure. Roaring in head. Vertigo. Tearing pain
through brain to forehead. Pain in bones
extending to face. Congestion to head. Boils on
scalp.

28. CAUSATION:
Headache from least mental exertion,
fear fright ,anger or contradiction .Headache from
constipation.
CHARACTER:
Intense congestive headache with
heat. Tearing pain to the brain to forehead, boring
and tearing in skull bones

29. MODALITIES: Headache worse from every
mental exertion and better in open air.
CONCOMITTANT: Falling of hair especially in
syphilitic and mercurial affection.

30. Eyes
Extreme photophobia. Great soreness all about
the eyes and into eyeballs. Double vision; upper
half of objects invisible. Feel tense. Sees fiery
objects. Violent pains in bones around eye
(Asaf). Interstitial keratitis. Vascular cornea.
Sticking pains inward.

31. Ears
Caries of ossicula and of mastoid.
Obstinate fetid otorrhœa after
scarlatina. External meatus bathed in
pus. Chronic nerve deafness;

32. Nose
Ulcerated, painful, swollen, obstructed.
Inflammation of nose; caries; fetid
discharge, purulent, bloody. Boring pains
in nose; worse at night. Putrid smell from
nose. Sensitive smell ,Horrible odor from
nose and mouth. Knobby tip of nose.

33. Mouth
 Foul breath in girls at puberty. Taste putrid or bitter.
Ulceration of gums.
FACE
• Tearing in zygoma. Mastoid and other
facial bones inflamed.

34. Stomach
Appetite and thirst increased, with
qualmishness. Swelling of epigastrium. Burning
at stomach and hot eructation's.

• Stitches when swallowing; pain in glands.
Caries of the palate.

36. Abdomen
Right hypochondrium hot and painful.
Incarcerated flatus. Swelling and suppuration
of inguinal glands.
URINE:
Turbid, like buttermilk, with thick sediment.
Painful retention.

37. Rectum
 Constipation, stools hard and knotty. Nocturnal diarrhea,
with burning in rectum.
MALE:
Pain and swelling of testicles. Chronic indurations of
testicles. Violent erections. Atrophy of testicles in boys.
FEMALE:
Great sensitiveness of vagina. Uterus enlarged and
prolapsed. Sterility; vaginismus.

38. Heart
 CAUSATION: Heart diseases are caused by syphilitic and
mercurial affection with scrofulous base.
 SENSATION :as if the heart stopped beating for two or three
seconds, immediately followed by a sudden hard thumb,
 with sinking at the epigastrium. Palpitation.
 Pulse rapid, feeble, irregular.
 Hypertrophy.
 High Blood Pressure-Val vular lesions of arteriole-sclerotic
nature

39. Bones
 CAUSATION: Syphilitic and mercurial affection.
Destruction of bones, like secondary syphilis. Pain in
bones of head, lumps under scalp, exostosis with
nightly pains in bones. Caries of nasal, palatine and
mastoid bones. Soreness of affected bones, better in
open air, worse at night.
RESPIRATARY:
Dyspnœa at night. Frequent, deep breathing;
stitches in sternum

40. Extremities
All the blood seems to rush from head to
lower limbs. Dropsy of lower limbs.
Orgasm, as if blood were boiling in all
veins. Paralytic, tearing pains in joints.
Knees weak.

41. Sleep
 Sleepless. Sobs aloud in sleep. Frightful dreams.

42. GENERAL MODALITIES:
AGGRAVATION : From sunset to sunrise,
and cold air , when getting cold, while lying
down ,mental exertion, Many complaints
come on only during winter.
