And thats what is this talk is focussed about---HR as the last mile crucial link in acheiving skilling of gen Y in India and thats where this thought of HR –as a social partner has evolved...In India it can be skilling of Gen –Y ,in australia it can be learning of latest skills for older generartions since you have workforce age is totally different! So for me social partner HR is going to be the Hr manger– who can understand business sustainability most imp factors-people and planet since profits will always be taken care by oyr shareholders and cEO’s ...and able to anticipate changes in environmental ,social, demographic factors ....scanning radar and be proactive to handle the most essential and primary job of any hr professional--- having right talent at right place at right time at right cost....so how i as an Hr professional anticipate my country ,state ,indusrty and busineess requirement—it simply boils down to that! What would be my approach in metroes, tier -2 /3 cities in terms of getting skilled workforec..their compensation and other requirement,,,andthats why as a n social partner hr I would be able to conceptualize and action my strategies...
In case of India – (Social Partner-HR) will be a new Role of HR that will be able to handle the biggest business challenge ‘lack of employability coupled with skill-building of Indian Gen-Y. Whereas in case of Europe & UK it could be ‘maximizing older generations skills owing to less numbers of younger work-force’……so that’s what Social-Partner HR is !!!
