3. Masthead and image
• Firstly, I have used a large masthead, partially covered by the large main
image. This is used so that the main story seems significant, even more
significant than the magazine title, giving it an air of importance.
4. Surrounding stories
• I have also placed the titles of other stories around the main headline.
5. Colour scheme
• It also has a colour scheme, which runs throughout the front
cover, contents page and double page spread. Finally, the colour scheme is
also contrasting, so that text is easier to read for the reader.

11. Layout
• Firstly, I have used an image on one page, and the text is on the other. This
is used in almost every double page spread in real media products.
12. Bleeding technique
• The image also uses the “bleeding” technique by continuing onto the
other page. This links one side of the page to the other.
