as the object of His divine affection

through His death on the cross
- He is our rightful OWNER/SHEPHERD,
but He doesn’t force Himself on us…

He makes me lie down
in green pastures. He
leads me beside still
waters.

- He frees them from FEAR
- He frees them from DISCORD
- He frees them from PESTS
- He frees them from HUNGER
- He leads them to water for STRENGTH
& SATISFACTION

- He picks them up when they fall
- He searches for them when they are lost
- He cuts off the entanglements
- He provides fresh pastures to feed on
- He offers lasting, covenant relationship
only He is truly capable of maintaining

- The staff COMFORTS the sheep
- The staff GUIDES the sheep

- The shepherd PREPARES the table
- The shepherd WATCHES for predators
- The shepherd PROVIDES water for the sheep
- The oil PROTECTS the sheep
- The oil COMFORTS the sheep
