Resource sharing among law libraries is important for promoting legal research and the administration of justice in Nigeria. The increasing volume of information published and rising costs of library materials make it impossible for individual libraries to meet the needs of their users. Resource sharing allows libraries to maximize their resources through cooperation. Law libraries can share materials through traditional interlibrary loan as well as providing copies of reference materials. Resource sharing provides benefits like enhanced access to information, reduced costs, and improved services for library users, staff, and parent institutions. For Nigeria, it can help standardize library services and support the development of the national information sector.
