Mr. Walker is being recommended for a teaching position. He substituted for a third grade teacher this year, teaching all subject areas. He planned lessons well and collaborated with other teachers. Walker was a long term sub for me this year. During this period he taught third grade students
in all subject areas.
Mr. Walker is to be commended for his professionalismand concern for his students, and
quality of instruction. He planned well and worked diligently at being organized. His
preparation was thorough and he collaborated well with the other third grade teachers to
ensure he was covering the state standards.
I found Mr. Walker to be resourceful and adaptive. He made an outstanding effort to present
material in different ways when he found students were not grasping a concept. He is
receptive to new ideas and is very willing to adapt his instruction when suggestions are given.
In addition to the above, Mr. Walker managed his classroomwith unusual skill for his
experience. Student respect was obvious in his classroom. He cared deeply about his students
and they looked to him for approval and guidance. His approach to teaching generated a warm
and close rapport with his students and our staff.
As an educator for 21 years and one who is profoundly interested in developing high
quality teachers, I strongly endorse Mr. Walker. He has the intellect, passion, and
