1. Acid attacks on women in Colombia
My cause for concern is the large quantity of women affected with acid attacks; this is a problem
social and national. The acid attacks not greatimpactfor othersproblemsthat must be managed,
I’ve always been interested because this situationends the livesof our women, our, women
affected bothpsychologicaland physically, and this know whichof the two problemsis worse. We
areresponsible fortheseattacksstopimpunity. The New York Time said that “they intend
permanently disfigure the victim, to cause damage, brutal physical psychological damage, and
severe scarring and ostracism” Meryem Asian.
I have two more concerns, firstly punishment for this kind of actions hasn´t a clear reglamentation,
secondly there isn´t a psychological process for women victims of this kind of attacks.
Finally i´d like to say thatyou should seekthe necessary accompanimentfor victims, andjust
penaltiesfor criminals,so thatthe victimsdo not feel aloneand that theyknow they havesupport.
