Innocent Man Confronts Police Officer Who Put Him in Jail
Because He 'Believed' He Was Selling Weed
Many people have become a statistics in the War on Drugs. Some of them for simply being in the wrong place at the
wrong time.
A recent video that’s going viral
(https://www.reddit.com/r/PublicFreakout/comments/q8wodj/man_confronts_a_police_officer_who_allegedly/)
personifies one of these cases as a man who was sent to jail for allegedly selling weed (according to the cops),
confronted the arresting officer. In the video the man explains that he did have legal cannabis in his possession, but
that the cops wanted to coerce him into confessing that he was selling weed.
What ensued was a monologue that got many people talking about how the police utilize anti-cannabis laws to target
people and fulfill their “quotas”. Others commended the man for confronting the person that in his own words, “almost
destroyed his life.”

A cop stands flabbergasted as a citizen, who is filming him, is engaging with him in an angry tone. The man begins to
explain how the officer wronged him while the officer tries to evade the conversation altogether.
Man: “..you sent me to jail, because you try to say that I was selling weed inside my car, I had a cannabis card, I had two
j…zips of weed with me, I had legal weed with me, and you still tried to coerce me into saying I was selling weed that
night…do you not remember?
The officer responds with a visual head shake and attempting to explain to the young man that he is busy doing
something, of which the young man simply says, “I don’t care…”
The officer tries to point out that he’s in the middle of something, of which the man responds;
“You were fucking with me back then, now I’m fucking with you…you sent me to jail for a night and a day, and I was
sleeping in my car, when I woke up…there were 3 of you…”
The officer interjects with a “I don’t remember” while the man quickly cuts him off with, “I don’t care, you’re going to
hear my story!”
The officer responds and says, “Sure, I’ll hear your story”.
“Yes, because I went to jail for no reason…and had to pay a thousand dollars in fine, no $2,000 to get out that night and
another fine, just because I was sleeping in my car. I go to work and I pay taxes…I go to work, and I go to school and I
take care of my son – every single day and I went to jail because you sat there and said that ‘felt like’ I was selling weed
from inside my car while I was sleeping.”
The Officer begins to look uncomfortable – perhaps he remembers something?
“I’ve been waiting to find you and see you, so you can see my face, and see my son because you did fuck up a chapter
of my life for real. I had license, registration, and tags – there was no reason or me to go to jail that night, but you still
took me to jail.
So I’m telling you the next time you’re trying to send someone to jail, actually listen to their fucking story….because that
was some fucking bullshit!”
End Scene…
Well, not completely, there’s still some more of the incident you can see in the video. Highly recommended!

Cops and their Quotas
We could say that it was a minority who was targeted because of weed, but that would be an erroneous conclusion.
One factor that definitely was at play was the fact that most cops have arrest quotas. (http://jlsp.law.columbia.edu/wp-
content/uploads/sites/8/2017/03/48-Bronstein.pdf) In other words, the police are often incentivized to arrest people in
order to fill certain quotas. When they do this, they get funding and other goodies like “first picks at ex-military
equipment (https://www.marketplace.org/2020/06/12/police-departments-1033-military-equipment-weapons/)”
The man – who in my opinion rightfully confronted his aggressor in order to obtain closure on an event that marked
his life – was a victim of a greater evil. Incentivized Law Enforcement!
The War on Drugs was frequently used to justify police action. If they could arrest drug dealers or drug users, it would
mean that they were technically “Solving crimes”. While Joe Biden wishes to distance himself from his 1994 Crime Bill
(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Violent_Crime_Control_and_Law_Enforcement_Act), but the fact of the matter was that
the measures passed in that bill had a significant influence on how law enforcement worked.
As a result, we saw a massive inflation of prisoners and the War on Drugs were often the scapegoat to justify the
“tough on crime” ethos of the time.
This dynamic creates a schism between police and the people. In fact, people become “marks” and typically minorities
are far easier to take advantage of than someone who might be well connected. Try arresting the kid of a high priced
lawyer and the police is bound to have a bad time with litigation processes.
However, a minority or impoverished individual would be in an obvious disadvantage and would be much more likely
to accept a plea deal if confronted with inflated charges. This created a perfect recipe for abuse of power and
essentially turned every potential citizen into a bag of money.
Cannabis Reparations should involve victims confronting their abuser cops
Some people are constantly talking about repairing the damage that the drug war has done yet no matter how many
licenses you separate for minorities or marginalized communities – you can’t recover the stress or time lost rotting in a
jail cell for weed.
However, confronting the cops that put people in jail would be a very therapeutic experience. This man reasserted his
power, he went and found the closure he needed. It was the very reason I wrote about it, because I think we're living in
a time where people feel small compared to BIG government.
For those who were negatively affected by the War on Drugs, you may never have the opportunity to face the arresting
officer like the man in the video – but even conducting a mental experiment, playing out the part can provide you with
some closure, to help you get over the aggression perpetrated by the state against your sovereign person.

The question is, why would a pain medicine physician be the go to authority to talk about teen suicide? More importantly, of all the claims that Finn made, there
was no reference to the studies mentioned – probably because with enough scrutiny you could see that their suppositions are based on the idea that cannabis-
use is pathological.

What is cannabis soap? The skin is the largest of our organs, it keeps toxic substances out and lets certain substances pass through. The cannabinoids in
marijuana can be absorbed through the skin when cannabis products are used topically.
