The boy's diary describes losing his parents in a car accident and living with his grandmother. His grandmother tells him scary stories about witches and teaches him to identify them. While building a treehouse with his friend, the boy sees a woman he believes is a witch staring at him. He hides from her in the tree and tells his grandmother. Later, the boy overhears a group of witches planning to kill all children with a formula. At the end, the boy and his grandmother's plan works to transform all the witches into mice.

2. Dear diary,
My day was awful, the saddest of my
life. Today my parents died in a car
accident and I am staying with my
grandmother.
March 30th
My grandmamma is a very interesting
person, today she told me about cases
of children who were bewitched, she
knows a lot about witches. After
listening to all these stories, I felt very
scared, I couldn’t imagine myself in
those situations.

4. April 13th
Today my grandmother tought me how to recognize a
witch, I’d never imagined they could be that
horrible.
My grandmother and I had to move to England, I was
very happy to meet again my friend Timmy and
together we decided to build a treehouse.
One day, when Timmy was ill, I was building the it
when I saw a lady staring at me. I felt very scared
because that woman had the characteristic of a
witch. I heard her calling me. I started climbing up
the tree and I didn’t stop till I was up to the top.
Then I heard my grandmother calling me and I told
her the story.
That was my first witch, but not my last.

6. June 8th
I am listening the witch’s plan, they will make a
Formula to kill all the kids of the world! They
started saying the ingredients they were going
to put in their Formula. The Grand High Witch
brought a boy called Bruno Jenkins to try the
Formula 86 Delayed Action Mouse Maker.

8. August 10th
Dear diary,
Today our plan worked, I am very happy and
surprised, all the witches were transformed
into mice! I don´t know what I am going to do
with my future, but I know that if I am with
my grandmother I will be good.
