1. MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCES / ADIMEN ANITZAK The theory of multiple intelligences was developed in 1983 by Dr. Howard Gardner, professor of education at Harvard University. It suggests that the traditional notion of intelligence, based on I.Q. testing, is far too limited. Instead, Dr. Gardner proposes eight different intelligences to account for a broader range of human potential in children and adults. 3. Multiple Intelligence Survey for Primary
Directions: This survey should not be given to primary students to complete
independently, with the exception of very advanced first and second graders. It may
be administered to a whole class of first graders if the teacher models and talks
them through each example, letting them mark with a pencil/crayon. For
kindergartners, individual administration is recommended.
