UCD Library has been using collection curation to improve their collections and library spaces in three key ways: 1) They reviewed 60% of their collection and withdrew over 2,700 journal titles to make way for more seating after their building reopening with reduced capacity due to social distancing requirements. 2) They weeded duplicates and obsolete materials from the Development Studies Library and integrated it into the main collection to better serve students and faculty. 3) Moving forward, they will continue curating collections to make the best use of their library space and resources while maintaining important materials for teaching and research.
