1) On June 6th, terrorists drove a van into pedestrians on London Bridge and then went to Borough Market where they stabbed additional people, killing 7 and injuring 48. 2) The ringleader was identified as 27-year-old Khuram Shazad Butt from Barking, East London. He had been under investigation by police twice before. 3) The attack shows how easy it is for terrorists to strike in a major city center like London Bridge. It also demonstrates how extreme they are willing to go to further their beliefs, killing and injuring many innocent people.

good day. In today's podcast, I will be talking about what is in the news and
how it is effective us.
On the 6th of June at 10:08 pm, the police was receiving calls from all over central
London reporting a van running people down on London Bridge. Once the attack
finished on London Bridge they then moved on to borough market where they
left the van and started stabbing innocent pedestrians. The terrorists killed 7
people and injured 48 more.
According to the telegraph Butt aged 27 of barking, east London was the
ringleader of the trio who ploughed into pedestrians on the bridge using a hired
van, before stabbing innocent people in pubs and bars in Borough Market on
Saturday night.
How does this affect us?
This affects us, the people of London in many ways.
Firstly, it shows how easy it is for these people to pull something like this off.
London Bridge is the central of London, many tourists go there to see London
and something like this can happen at any time.
According to the telegraph Butt has had 2 terrorists enquires already and the
police will just let someone like that walk around. I think this is wrong as he is
clearly a threat and you can’t let threats like that walk around.
Secondly it shows how extreme terrorists will go to prove a point. They are
willing to kill 7 people and injure 48 more just to prove a point about there
believes.
