2. She was born on July 15, 1850, in the town of Sant’ Angelo.

3. She was one out of thirteen children in her family. Her father’s name was Agostino, and her mother’s name was Stella.

6. At the age of 18, she was certified as a teacher.

7. When she was 22 years old, she got smallpox. When she tried to go into the Daughter of the Scared Heart, Mother Giovanna refused because of her frail health.
