1. MR. MAGOO WHO?
NOT JUST A PRETTY
FACE
The Purpose Behind the Publicity &
Merchandising
2. Dear Friends,
Recently, we received comments from some folks who felt
that we were exploiting Goo by allowing him to pose for
magazine covers, posting him on Facebook , publishing a
book and selling merchandise with his image on it. We
would like to clarify WHY we do these things and we hope
that you’ll support our efforts and join the fight on behalf
of homeless animals everywhere.
Please continue scrolling through this brief presentation.
If you have any questions, please message us on our
Facebook page. Thank you!
4. Q: Aren’t you just capitalizing on Mr. Magoo Who? The
Blind Kitty Who Stole My Heart to make money?
A: In a way, that IS true. In order to accomplish our philanthropic
goals, we MUST raise funds to contribute to organizations that are
helping to save lives and rehabilitate homeless animals. Why?
5. 5,000 Total number of nationwide animal shelters
15 MILLION Number of companion animals that enter into
animal shelters nationwide annually
3.5 MILLION Average annual number of companion animals that
are euthanized at shelters
60% Percent of dogs in animals shelters that are
euthanized
70% Percent of cats in animal shelters that are euthanized
2% Percent of cats that are returned to their owners
15% Percent of dogs returned to their owners
$2 BILLION Cost of taxpayer money annually to round up, house, kill
and dispose of homeless animals
2000-3500 Number of dog and cats born every hour in the U.S.
415 Number of humans born every hour in the U.S.
6. We want to make a difference!
• We want to help to fund spay & neuter clinics to cut down
on overpopulation.
• We want to donate to shelters to allow them to care for
the millions of animals that are brought in each year.
• We want the Special-abled animals that are brought into
shelters to receive the quality of care they deserve, so that
they can find homes and receive the QUALITY OF LIFE
they deserve.
7. • Share our mission with your friends and ask them to help carry us forward to our
ultimate goal of MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OFANIMALS.
• Support the shelters and spay & neuter clinics in your own area.
• Spay & neuter your pets.
• Don’t purchase animals from pet shops and breeding mills.
• Adopt pets at your local animal shelter.
• Adopt special needs animals. They will give you far more than you give them.
• Continue to support our efforts through the purchase of merchandise and books
because you’ll be helping animals in need.
HOW YOU CAN HELP?:
8. Goo leaving the shelter
after a month of
intensive treatment.
Goo after only 3 days
in a loving home.
9. And please remember, Goo is merely the ‘face’
and ‘voice’ of all of the animals who cannot
speak for themselves. When you see him on a
magazine cover or as spokes-person for a
Facebook page or read his story in a book, it
isn’t for his own fame or that of those who
care for him or for the personal gain of anyone
connected with him.
Because Goo IS a success story and because of
his experiences prior to finding his furever
home, we want to share his story and educate
others about the millions of animals who
weren’t as lucky.
Will you help us help them?
