2. LOCATIONS
When faced with the task of choosing locations, I first started by making a list of all possible locations at
which I could shoot. I then looked at each one individually to see where would fit in best with the
narrative, alongside where there would be good lighting and ease of space to use. I have chosen around 3
locations where I will be filming, within these 3 I will need to use a variety of shots and angles as to keep
the viewer interested.
As I am filming in resident areas, permission to film was very easy to get, and no complications came with
it. Some ideas for my filming were somewhat limited due to legislation on where I could and couldn’t film,
therefore I had to change much of my narrative to incorporate the changes that I needed to make.
3. LOCATION LIST DRAFT 1
• This was the initial list of ideas for
where I could film my music video:
• A house
• Park
• Lake
• Woods
• Airport
• Squadron
• Field
• Abandoned house
• Road
• Train line
• Station
4. LOCATIONS LIMITED
• Unfortunately, filming at airports breaches many security risks and I found it tasking to try and get the
correct permission I needed to be able to film there, Instead, I have chosen to use what would have
been a goodbye scene at the airport, at the front door of a house instead, giving it the same effect and
keeping the narrative simple.
• Filming on a road is dangerous, I will need to find a secure pavement to do so.
