Dear Potential Employer,
I am currently enrolled as a third year law student at the Charlotte School
of Law. Though I have enjoyed my time in Charlotte, I am excited to complete
my final semester of courses, prepare for the bar, and begin my career in the
legal field.
During my time at the Charlotte School of Law I have developed many
valuable skills. I have refined my memorandum drafting abilities by enrolling in
several intensive legal writing courses. I have been able to develop proficiency
regarding legal research and the use of programs such as Westlaw and
Lexis­Nexis through countless hours of mandated practice. Furthermore, I’ve
had the opportunity to discuss the law in both theory and practice by enrolling in
a healthy mix of both skills and standard courses. I’ve even had the chance to
work amidst my fellow classmates in an effort to better ourselves and our
community as Volunteers at the Men’s Homeless shelter.
Most importantly, however, my time in Charlotte has afforded me the
opportunity to meet, interact, and develop friendships with a lot of great people.
The sun is setting on my scholastic career and I feel its a bittersweet time. Law
School has provided a challenging three years, but I’ve also had my share of
fun along the way. I know that I’ll look back on this chapter of my life with great
fondness and I look forward to seeing what challenges the next chapter brings.
