• Christopher “Chris” Michael Throgmorton holds a
position with regulatory affairs for Amgen. In this role,
he ensures that quality management systems are
developed and implemented. Outside of work, Chris
Throgmorton supports the community by donating to
organizations such as Children’s Hospital of Orange
County.
Children’s Hospital of Orange County began in 1964. The
hospital works in conjunction with the University of
California-Irvine and offers over 200 beds in its facility.
The hospital also maintains special departments for
research and treatment areas such as neuroscience,
heart care, and cancer.

• Based on the results of the 2016 Leapfrog
Hospital Survey, Children’s Hospital of Orange
County was named one of the top hospitals in
the United States. Out of the nine children’s
hospitals that earned the award, Children’s
Hospital of Orange County is the only one
located on the West Coast. Although the hospital
earned this high honor due to outstanding care
for patients and their families, other factors such
as a low number of medication errors and low
infection rates contributed to the honor.
