The website does mention the global website,
this means that this company is well known
and global, therefore this means that my music
magazine could be sold worldwide is millions
of music fans who like music magazines.
In September 2014, Time INC
UK operated 40 websites that
get millions of views, if Spotlight
had a website then people could
post their thoughts and feelings
towards the music magazine and
how to make it better.
This relates to the production of
my magazine because it does
say that the company supports
your music magazine and tries to
make it the best it can for all of
the music fans out there.

3. How my magazine can be sold worldwide.
 Time INC UK sells its products to some of the richest and best places in the world. And if we could get involved with Time INC UK then my
music magazine – Spotlight will be sold along with it. However, selling this music magazine will be tough because there already is a well
selling music magazine out there – NME. This music magazine sells lots of copies of their music magazine each year. So our music
magazine will have to be special if we are going to be able to compete with NME.
 There is the problem that could happen is that Time INC UK do not accept us because they already have a high selling music magazine in
NME. This could be a massive problem because if we do not get on side with Time INC UK we will be missing out on the chance to sell lots
of our music magazine worldwide to the public. Time INC Media also helps out with a load of websites so we would be able to use this
chance to promote our music magazine and ask how we could make it better for them.
 London and New York are two massive areas for our music magazine to be sold because these two places are the best known places in
the world and with the amount of people that visit these areas then there must be many people that will want to see music magazine.
However, we must out do NME.

NME produce many top quality music magazines and with me trying to get my music magazine – Spotlight to get with music
magazine producer Time INC UK will not be easy. NME produce top quality music magazines every time and always have well
known artists on the front cover of their magazine. The quality of the images and style of the magazine show that NME is one of
the best music magazines that are produced today. If we were to outplay them we would need to produce a well designed
magazine with top quality photos. The text that is included on the front cover of NME draws the attention of the audience well.
When it comes to the quality of my music magazines text, I think the
text used needs to promote the magazine and make it stand out. To
do this you need to use stand out and bold text. I think on my music
magazine – Spotlight I think the text needs to be more detailed and
needs to stand out to the audience and make them want to buy the
music magazine.
The facial expression and clothing of the model has clearly been
thought about before the shoot. When it comes to looking at my
quality of photo, facial expression and clothing it is clear to me there
are improvements to be made for my music magazine if I wanted to
come up against NME. The facial expression of the model for my front
cover does not compare to the facial expressions used by NME. The
quality of the photo is good, however the actual photo used for the
front cover does not excite me in any way and I wished that I
improved it. The clothing used for my model is extremely good, and
makes the magazine look professional and smart. In my opinion I
think the clothing used in my music magazine is better than the
clothing used in their music magazine.
The masthead of slogan can clearly be seen on the front cover of
NME because they include a red background colour so it stands out
to the audience. However, my masthead and slogan are also good
because they stand out to the audience and look professional. I have
followed the house style well by using three colours but so has NME.
This is because when you look at theirs you see they have used red,
black and white. This is the same as mine and Time IMC UK may not
want this.

6. Why Time INC UK would be perfect for my music magazine.
Time INC UK would be the perfect distribution for my music magazine because IPC
Media produce all around the world and for my music magazine to be available
worldwide it will give people from different countries the chance to look at the magazine
and see what it is like. Time INC UK produce magazines in two of the biggest
destinations in the world New York and London. The amount of people these two
destinations get is unbelievable and with my magazine selling in these areas there must
be a good amount of people that are fans of music and hopefully will buy this. However,
if the front cover is not up to scratch then people will not buy it and may go for our rival –
NME. We must make sure that our front cover looks professional and looks better than
any other music magazine out there.
Another reason I choose IPC Media over any other magazine producer is because Time
INC UK has experience in that area and knows how to sell magazines. INC know what a
magazine needs to sell well and if my music magazine was produced by them then my
music magazine will get a more professional look and will hopefully get a lot more
people buying the music magazine because of the support and help from Time INC UK
company.
When I look at the magazines that INC produce I notice that INC produce a lot of music
magazines that fall into my age range. I decided to go with INC because INC creates
lots of magazine that have a similar age range.
The final reason I picked Time INC UK over any other company was that Time INC UK
targets both genders with their magazines. And because my music magazine is targeted
at both genders it will suit Time INC UK more than it does other magazines creators e.g.
BBC Magazines.
Overall Time INC UK was chosen over any other magazine producer because INC
produce their magazines in two of the biggest attractions in the world, London and New
York. Time INC UK also has experience in that area of magazine with their music
magazine NME. Time INC UK was picked over any other because their magazines fall
into my age range and because they produce mixed gender magazines as does my
music magazine Spotlight.
