o Designand optimization of microbial fuel cell (MFC) operated with waste water
as substrate, 6 months under Mr. Ajith Madhavan, Assistant professor, Amrita School
of Biotechnology.
o Synopsys - Bioelectricity generation from waste water treatment was evaluated in
double chambered microbial fuel cell using agar (seeded with Bacillus Subtilis) as
proton exchange membrane (PEM). Waste water and potassium permanganate
solution was filled in the anodic and cathode chamber respectively. The performance
was studied with two different electrodes (Aluminum and non coated Carbon as
anode and Copper at cathode).
