2. One direction One Direction is a British-Irish boy band, consisting of members Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson. They finished third on the seventh series of ITV reality talent show The X Factor. Following The X Factor, the group signed a £2,000,000 record contract with Syco. e band applied as solo candidates to the competition, but failed to qualify for the Boys category. After a suggestion by guest judge Nicole Scherzinger, the five teens were put into a band, thus qualifying for the Groups category.

3. Jls JLS (Jack the Lad Swing) are a British boy band, consisting of members Aston Merrygold, Marvin Humes, Oritsé Williams and JB Gill. Their first two singles Beat Again and Everybody in Love both went to number one on the UK Singles Chart. Beat Again was at the number one spot for two weeks.

4. The wanted The Wanted are an English/Irish pop boy band based in London and was first established in 2009. The group's line-up comprises of Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, Tom Parker and Nathan Sykes. The band's debut single "All Time Low" was released in July 2010 and reached number one in the United Kingdom.

5. Mcfly McFly are an English pop rockband who first found fame in 2004. The band consists of Tom Fletcher Danny Jones Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd. They were signed to the Island Records label from their 2004 launch until December 2007, before creating their own label.The band rose to fame after fellow boyband Busted helped launch them by inviting them to tour in March 2004.
