2. The Purpose
For my presentation, I decided to choose an industry that really interested me. My choice
of industry was a brewery. A brewery is a place or company that produces beer commercially
to the world. Like many other people, I like beer and I thought it was a great option to dive
into and figure out the process these huge companies go through.
At first, I thought this industry would be a tough choice. By this I mean, what jobs are
actually out there in a brewery that comes to terms with IT skills or any technology what-so-
ever. Following the guidelines for this project and doing my research, I was absolutely stunned
with the amount of jobs that are actually in a brewery that needs all sorts of skill sets.
3. Head Brewer
My first job that I found interesting was the position of the Head Brewer.
The head brewer or brew master is responsible for all aspects of the beer
production and day-to-day operations of the brewery. These tasks include
managing other brewers, making purchasing decisions, meeting with
customers and other businesses, creating new types of beer, setting
production goals and managing resources.

For my second position, I chose market sales manager. The market sales
manager is responsible for the sales of the beer and the staff in the
marketing department. Successful execution of annual sale goals and
ongoing development and management of the sales department. Works
closely with all other departments to develop an overall company sales
and marketing strategy.

7. Sales Representative
My third position is the Sales Representative. A Sales Representative is to
ensure the successful sale, distribution and retail execution of our products
and related programs resulting in the overall volume growth of the
accounts within the assigned territory.

The Fourth position that I have selected is the Packaging Operator. The
Packaging Operator ensures brewery cleanliness and package beer in
accordance with our operating procedures. They assist with quality control
and help to maintain our equipment by completing preventative
maintenance procedures as scheduled.

department.

My sixth position is the breweries National Account Manager. The National
Account Manager is responsible for executing COT initiatives through in
depth and creative sales presentations. The NAM is responsible to drive
BBC sales volume and distribution in cooperation with distributor and BBC
teams to their market’s respective account base. The NAM must deliver the
annual plan while managing resources to budget.

My seventh and final position that I have selected is the Cyber Security
team. The Cyber Security Team is responsible to stop, search, and build
protection from any hackers on the web. Most brewery companies all have
online websites to purchase products such as alcohol. Being that a brewery
sells alcohol, it must be very careful to sell these products to minors. This is
where the cyber security teams comes into play.

17. What I have Learned
To be honest, I learned a lot from this project. It has taught me many
different ways to research different job fields and different job fields in
certain industries. There are so many industries in this world today and
behind them is a driving force of many different jobs. I have learned also
that from researching different job fields and their salaries, their are many
different ways that I will be able to make money in my future. You see, I
am just focused on one career in my life which is construction. But from
this assignment, I have finally opened many doors in my mind where I can
choose a different path. A path that I will enjoy while making money in the
process. Who knows, maybe I will be working in a brewery after college.
