Project Name: Hydra (Capgemini India Pvt. Ltd) Period: April-2014 To Till Date
Client: Discover Financial Services (USA)
Description:
Discover operates a reliable and flexible transaction processing environment that efficiently routes Card
Transactions between Merchants/Acquirers/ATM Networks, as applicable, and Issuers, and is comprised of
state of the art, fully redundant gateways and flexible applications.
Discover Network Gateways is an application to interconnect network traffic (Visa, MasterCard, etc) with
Discover Card Authorizer. Its primary functions are connection management and message translation.
Various acquirers communicate with Issuers via Discover Network. Network Message flow from Acquirer
i.e. Visa, Pulse, Cup etc to Switch where message is being translated and translated message is being sent to
Issuer i.e. Visa, Pulse, Cup etc and response is being recorded. Same response is being sent back to acquirer
to approve or reject the transaction.
DNG handles entities that accept, receive, and transmit Authorization Requests and Responses for Card
Transactions in accordance with Authorization Interface.
Roles:

Hydra- Credit Protect System (Fraud detection engine):
Developing real time interface to the credit protect fraud engine. Early detecting and alerting with the
potential for mitigating impact of identified fraud activity. This fraud detection process is done before the
transaction is handover to the particular issuer (Visa, Pulse, Cup etc)
Monitoring Connection:
The new component monitor the interaction between hydra and an external service and provide metrics,
alerting and automated shutdown action depending upon the transaction data which is aggregated.

Description:
TataSky-A joint venture between Tata sons and 21 century Fox and it is a leading Direct-to-Home(DTH)
television service provider in India.
In the project, develop TataSky billing system using KENAN product. Enhance the features of Kenan wrt,
requirements of TataSky. Monitoring the system to communicate with the NDS to broadcast the channels to
the subscribed customers and generate the monthly bills in HTML and auto-mail to the customers.
Automated UNIX scripts are developed to send SMS and Email to the customers based on their payment due
date and package expiry date using PL/SQL Procedure and Functions.
Roles:
-Develop application for Kenan system
-Develop code in java to configure the Packages (Channels) in the System.
-Database activities to write Triggers, Procedure and Functions for alerting and payments.

Description:
Identity and Access Management is a framework to validate and authenticate the user to access any
application. In this OIM and OAM is configured to MP Electricity Board client. Based on the region (Jabalpur,
Indore, Bhopal) and Cities under these regions the access level is decided the appropriate user.

- Creating the plug-in to perform the required task using Java.
- Created a web application for enabling the access to multiple applications from the single Place.
