THESIS/DISSERTATION:
**Ph.D. Thesis Title: Effect of additives on the solvation behavior of Imidazolium based ionic liquids
in aqueous solutions.
Research focus, interest, career goals
My current research interests are focused on the study of surfactants and functionalized ionic liquids. Some of
the functionalized ILs have also been recently explored in biological applications owing to their
antimicrobial nature and as a gene or drug delivery carrier. They have been found to enhance the

2. permeability of DNA/drug through biological membrane. I want to further focus my research towards these
ILs. I am keen to receive research projects regarding this area of interest at all levels. The ultimate goal is to
contribute in the field of applicative part of IL research .
