Wire-protocol logic is written once to conform
to an internal interface (IDataAccess).1
Connectivity specifications (FireDAC /ODBC /
JDBC / ADO.NET / Excel /BizTalk etc.), called
edition wrappers, are coded on top of
IDataAccess.
