1. Fold fabric
up, meeting
side seams
and top of
bag
make sure
image is
inside your
folded fabric

2. Lay bag
face
down on
bench
with
applique
facing
down

3. Turn top &
bottom
edge in,
press
turn
second
time &
press

4. Pin pressed edges in place

5. Mark 2
inches
from side
seam,
repeat
for all 4
side
seam
points

6. Tuck carry handle into pressed fold
at 2 inch mark

7. Repeat at both ends of the bag

8. Straight stitch 2.5 – 3.0 length
sew across both ends

9. OPTIONAL -
Pin handle
back
towards top
of bag, sew
in place with
stitching

11. Match tops of
bag.
Line up side seams, pin in place

12. Stitch side
seam, 1.5
seam
allowance,
stitch
length 2.5
repeat
other side
of bag

13. Neaten
seam
with a zig
zag edge,
zig zag
width 5,
stitch
length 1.5

14. Trim
with
scissors
all loose
threads

15. Press
side
seams
before
turning
bag right
side out

16. Label your
bag & leave
in satchel.
