2. RECYCLING one of the most important actions we can take
as a society to simultaneously impact: the environment, CO2
levels, the economy, manufacturing, and waste in oceans
landfills
3. … you, me and 7.5 billion other
people in the world need to do
it properly, wherever we go.
Actress, model and spokesperson for RAA: Angie Harmon (TV show: Rizzoli and Isles)
But in order for recycling to work and for manufacturers
to be able to reuse the materials …
4. However with confusing, ineffective and inconsistent
labels on recycling bins throughout society,
people aren’t able to recycle properly.
11. Standardized labels results – SCHOOL DISTRICTS
Within the first year of using the
standardized labels, Orlando
Public Schools (OCPS) saved
nearly $370,000 in waste
hauling fees and experienced a
90% increase in their recycling
levels!
12. Reaching the Critical Mass
At US Bank Stadium, the standardized labels were a
critical asset to help the stadium reach zero waste
for the 2018 Super Bowl – the first zero waste SB in
history.
The stadium’s recycling levels went from 20% up to
91% with almost no contamination!

13. Standardized labels results – BUSINESSES
The recycling levels with our
partners are often increasing
50-100%.

standardized labels to help
employees, visitors, customers,
students and households
recycle right, is simply common-
sense.
14. It’s time.
WHEN THERE ISN’T A STRONG RECYCLING CULTURE,
THERE IS MORE LITTER AND MORE WASTE GOING INTO
OCEANS. 6 out of 10 of the items found in the ocean are
fully recyclable
16. It’s time to apply the same logic for other critical standardizations that have
helped society act on their good intentions … to recycling.
Standardizations are critical for society to function
18. It’s time.
The campaign has already received $50 million
in free ad space across in North America.
19. Leadership and VIPs are joining and want to be
part of the national ”Let’s” PSA campaign

21. IT’S TIME FOR
PROGRESS.
Thank you for joining other global leaders, that are
working to solve the recycling crisis.
Let’s make it easy for people to begin recycling
more and recycling right, wherever they might be.
22. China’s National Sword policy has now restricted acceptable
contamination levels to .05-.03%. Most of the recycling shipments we send
contain at least 15% contamination.
“This is not a little disruption,”
says Susan Collins, president of
the Container Recycling
Institute, a research
organization based in Southern
California. “This is a big
disruption to a bigger industry
than most people would think it
is, because it’s sort of an
invisible process. You put your
stuff out at the curb, and it
goes away — nobody thinks
about it as being a multibillion
industry in this country.”
“If this stuff doesn’t move, and we
don’t know what to do with it, we
can’t keep it forever," he says. "At
some point, it’s going to start to
degrade. The other thing that
could happen is that if we can’t
find outlets — and I’m not talking
about just E.L. Harvey & Sons, I’m
talking about the industry as a
whole — we’re going to stop
bringing material into our facilities.
And that’s going to impact
recycling programs throughout the
country.”
