Caesar Augustus”

9. The gospel is the royal announcement that the
crucified and risen Jesus, who died for our sins
and rose again according to the Scriptures, has
been enthroned as the true Lord of the world.
When this gospel is preached, God calls
people to salvation, out of sheer grace, leading
them to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ as
the risen Lord.

baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the

36. –Galatians 3:8
And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would
justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the
gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, “In you
shall all the nations be blessed.”
37. What did Jesus do?
• Brought his Kingdom
• Brought Salvation through faith in
Him available for all man
• Showed Lordship (right to reign)
and authority through power over
death and sin
• Brought right to be co-heirs (sons
and daughters) of the Kingdom
• Showed how to live in the Kingdom
• What will be done? Everything will
be put under his lordship and every
knee will bow and he will deliver his
kingdom to God.
38. The Gospel proclamation is about God’s
victorious Kingdom brought by his Son who
showed his authority over sin and death with is
life, death, and resurrection. He then released
his kingdom to his disciples (ie us) empowering
us with His Holy Spirit to continue the work of
bringing his Good News of the Kingdom to this
earth
