Adding Emphasis

    Brandy Lopez
Achieving Emphasis
Underlining and italics are the simplest ways
to call attention to a word.
Sentence variety
Vary the rhythm by adding short and long
 sentences
Several sentences the same length make for
boring writing to help this make sentences
 different lengths
Vary sentence openings
When sentences start with the same words
 the reader can get bored.
Different beginnings can change the structure
  of the sentence
