This wiring diagram, BLUE METER-MMU-3PH4W-HU, is for use in applications in which the main distribution panels utilizes
THREE PHASE, 4-WIRE WYE (120/208V or 277/480V) power, as shown. For applications utilizing three phase 4 wire, 120/208V
or 277/480V power, refer to IMS wiring diagram number BL3PH4W-HOOKUP. This diagram shows the correct voltage, neutral,
and current transformer (CT) connections to IMS Triple Element kWh meters installed in a Multiple Meter Unit (MMU). Solid
core IMS CTs are shown, and for correct meter performance, orient CTs as shown, with the white side (marked H1 or flat side)
facing incoming line. Each CT will be connected designated meter’s terminal block to the electrical service by a qualified
electrician and in accordance with local and national electrical codes; for more connection details, refer to the individual Blue
Meter Hookup Diagram and Installation Instructions. IMS recommends 26 to 6 AWG wire, 300/600V insulation minimum for
voltage hook-up. Voltage (L1, L2, L3 and N) and CT input wires should be cut to the appropriate length and routed neatly. Coils
of extra hookup wire should be avoided. Wire insulation should be stripped so that the bare conductor length that connects to the
meter terminal block does not exceed 0.300 inches. Bare conductors should be tightened in the appropriate terminal so that wires
are held snuggly in place, but do not to over-tighten, as this may compress and weaken the conductor.
