We all overthink sometimes. With so much uncertainty in our career, our business and in our life, we get caught up overthinking actions we want to take. We get stuck and feel helpless to the chaos...and end up in a vicious cycle.
In my own journey of learning to deal with uncertainty, deal with stress and anxiety of the new normal, I learned 4 lessons on how to detox the overthinking mind to start living again.
5. But what I’ve observed is that
my mind would burrow
deeper into sometimes a
worrisome place after hearing
of all the uncertainty in the
world around me.
NORMALLY THAT’S
NOT A BAD THING
7. In March of this year, I was forced to
give up my big morning cup of coffee
that I had for about 20 years.
AND IT WAS
VERYDIFFICULT.
8. My overthinking slowed. Coupled with a regular
morning run on the treadmill, my mind was so
much clearer and balanced.
GIVING UP CAFFEINE INADVERTENTLY
HAD A POSITIVE SIDE EFFECT:
11. ALL THE WORRIES
OF THE WORLD
get into our head and don’t
seem to leave, causing us to
overthink our life and the actions
we want to take.
12. FILL IT WITH POSITIVE
THOUGHTS.
I took charge of what went into my
head and made a choice to
13. ON A GOAL, A PROJECT
OR A SPECIFIC TASK.
4GET UP AND GET
TO WORK…
14. ONE TIP THAT I’VE LEARNED
that did more than detox my mind
from overthinking is to turn my often
worrisome thoughts about the future
…into focused effort and work.
16. it forces our mind to concentrate on the
things that our physical body is working on
and so the mind has no choice but to assist
the physical effort.
THE REASON ACTION IS A GREAT WAY
TO DETOX FROM OVERTHINKING IS THAT
17. WE DETOX OUR BODY BECAUSE WE WANT
TO LOOK GOOD AND FEEL GOOD.
I believe that increasingly we need to detox our
mind from all the overthinking because we have a
love to pursue, a career to grow, a business to
launch and a life to live.
18. THIS IS OUR TIME, OUR
JOURNEY, OUR LIFE…
what we choose to put into
it is our choice.
Stop Overthinking. Start Living.
