1. Americans purchase 29 billion plastic water
bottles a year that take centuries to
decompose. 75% of the empty water bottles
only end up in places like oceans, lakes and
streams to name a few.
Not only are the plastic bottles bad for the
environment, but the water inside them are
just as bad for you. About 22% of the water
in these bottles are full of contaminants.
Tap water contains just as much
contaminants. So that alternative would only
defeat the purpose.

purified water. Best of all drinking filtered
water doesn’t affect the environment, when
