3. Earn A Living… Making a Difference Welcome! Thank you for your interest in the Weddings To Go Wedding Ministry Training Program! With fewer and fewer Americans attending church regularly, a strong need has been created for the Independent Wedding Minister who can assist couples who wish to marry outside of a church. As an Ordained Minister, you can perform weddings in various locations including churches, parks, homes, backyards, by a river or lake or beach, hotels, on boats and other unique places. The demand is growing, too, so the future looks bright! We are seeking a particular type of person for our training. Someone who is not just looking to make a fast buck. The financial rewards can be wonderful, but more than that we are looking for someone who WANTS TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE in the lives of others. Someone who is compassionate, caring, has a good heart and a desire to help people achieve their dreams on what is usually the biggest day of their lives.

7. Earn A Living… Making a Difference FAQ 1. How much does this cost? The total fee for the complete Weddings To Go Training Program is $2590. Although it is not required, you may also elect to buy a “Ministry in a Box”, a package which includes a Minister's Manual, a certificate of ordination suitable for framing, a personalized wallet identification card notifying others of your ordination, a high-quality certificate commemorating the granting of your Doctor of Divinity, 15 beautiful seal-embossed certificates (Wedding, Commitment, House Blessing, Baptism, Renewal of Vows, and Baby Naming certificate), a Clergy Badge, and a heavy-duty laminated Clergy Parking Placard (for use at hospitals and more). The cost for the optional “Ministry in a Box” is $195. 2. What do I get for my money? You get the all-inclusive Weddings To Go Training Program as explained in this package. 3. Is there a need for Wedding Officiants in my area? There is a growing need for Wedding Officiants in all areas of the country. With fewer and fewer people who have access to clergy through church membership and with the popularity of non-traditional settings for weddings these days, the demand has been accelerating for some time. The future looks very promising for Independent Wedding Ministers!
8. Earn A Living… Making a Difference FAQ (cont’d) 4. What are the requirements to officiate at weddings? Requirements may vary from State to State. Usually state laws provide that any recognized member of the clergy (such as a Priest, Minister, Rabbi, Imam, Cantor, Ethical Culture Leader, etc.), or a judge, a court clerk, and justices of the peace have authority to perform a marriage. However in some states even the clergy must be first certified or licensed. Upon request, we can give you the information needed about performing marriages in your state. In Texas, any Ordained Minister may perform a wedding ceremony. 5. Are there any guarantees? Of course, we cannot guarantee that you will be a success if you start and run your own business. That is up to you! However, during your Training Program, we will give you all the tools that you will need to be successful. But ultimately it will be up to you to follow our easy plan for success. If you follow our plan, you will book weddings!! 6. Where is the training held? The Training Program is usually held in a hotel meeting room from City to City. Sometimes, training is held in the private home of Reverend Melissa Anderson in Burnet, Texas. We have found that this cozy, relaxed atmosphere tends to foster a more comfortable training environment without the distractions often faced in a more retail-like setting.
9. Earn A Living… Making a Difference FAQ (cont’d) 7. What if I want to wait and do this later? That is totally your prerogative. However, please keep in mind that we are on a course to find a limited number of Ministers in each area in which we are advertising. Most of the people who elect to participate in our program make a decision do so within a 5 day period on average after receiving their initial Information Packet. 8. What is the best part of being a Wedding Officiant? Most people who get into any new business do so with the intent of making money… good money! Although you can certainly accomplish that with this business ($300 for a couple of hours of work is considered to be good money by most reasonable people), we have found by far that the best part of this business is the feeling of satisfaction you get from helping people. We often find that couples who use our services come to us with no clue about what they want in a ceremony. All they know is that they are in love and want to get married. They immediately place themselves in your hands as they seek your guidance and direction for what may be the biggest day of their lives! Their incredible appreciation after all is said and done cannot be measured by dollars. You will lay your head on your pillow at night and sleep well, knowing that you have helped to make others’ dreams come true.
10. Earn A Living… Making a Difference What’s Next? Your next step is to do some soul searching to decide if this feels right for your life. Are you looking for something more fulfilling in your life? Do you like to help people? Are you a caring, independent person looking for extra income? If you decide that this is for you, request an Application Form for further consideration. We have limited openings available in each area, as we are not looking to flood the market with Officiants. Once we feel that we have met the need in your area, we will not be accepting other training candidates for that locale.
