The research work is my passion, I firmly believe in the value of research, and in its power of directing the strategic work. I

have developed a passion for the discovery work, a very rewarding job, and I am proud to be able to carry on the work in-
volved with the required independence.
Independence and integrity are primary values for the researcher, but they do not come unearned, they are long term re-
wards and often require a firm hold and the will to defy the circumstances.
When somebody asks me what is my job, I answer that my job consists in telling the truth, just like a CSI - Crime Scene
Investigator - works on the site of crime. A series of small tracks, carefully and methodically gathered, help reach the truth.
It is necessary to leave out every preconceived opinion, to set yourself free of both yours and somebody else’s hopes and
expectations, and when you discover something new and unexpected, the task has not yet be accomplished. Just as the CSI
has to protect its proofs and conclusions, despite the Public Prosecutor, the Jury, the Judge, the lawyers, the suspects’ pres-
sures, the researcher must present his own conclusions in the best way, notwithstanding the management, the marketing,
the European, the international pressure. This is the only way to carry on his job, and the whole system will really benefit of
it because his work will be based on the truth he has succeeded to unveil, even it this were not the desired truth.
Life as CSI requires patience, it is sometimes frustrating, when the test does not bring any result, when the supervisor asks
you to analyze again the same crime scene, when you think you will not be able to pull out anything else of what you have
got, then it is important to trust your own skill. Motivation has a tremendous power, and we can draw great strength from
the exchange of opinions, to find out the techniques that have been used by colleagues to bring that hidden point to light.
If you are as lucky as I am, you will work in a European team, with a leader who has a vast experience in CSI, there is no
greater motivation than having Grissom himself as your example. The relationships with the lawyers or with the forensics
can be difficult, but after a while you can build a sincere mutual confidence, based on the common experience and aiming to
a fruitful cooperation. Working in a team enhances your brain work, at least in my case, even if this job can sometimes be a
little lonely.
I’m looking for a job in the Market research/Marketing Consultancy Area, I am persuaded that I could transmit my passion to
the people who would cooperate with me, and I hope I will be able to help solve many cases, driving the business with my
consultant approach trough a deep understanding of the market and the consumer.
