2. Mission Statement
The Boulevard Investment Group strives to actively
involve and educate members in the world of
investments, economics, and business. Our goal is to
learn how to become good investors, and in the process
lay the foundation for a fund that will become a
meaningful financial contributor to SMU COX BBA

3. Investment Strategy
Objective:
The Boulevard Investment Group’s main objective and
primary focus is to achieve strong investment returns with
controlled risk. A bottom-up research approach will be
used to create a diversified portfolio of stocks, bonds, and
ETFs.
Sourcing:
We will attempt to discover attractive investment
opportunities both on the long and short sides through our
Monthly Research Cycle (MRC). We will also engage in
sourcing of secondary research which will present us with
varying opinions.
4. Monthly Research Cycle
Week 1 – Sector managers meet with the junior analysts in their respective
sector to discuss and assign an interesting company to each analyst team
Week 2 – The analyst team begins their research process and attempts to
attain/analyze information about the company as shown in the model
presentation outline
Week 3 – Board members meet with each Junior Analyst team separately to
here their thesis pitch. Board members then have several days to do their
own research before congregating to make an investment decision.
Week 4 – All members in the Boulevard Scholarship Foundation gather for
the monthly meeting where the selected ideas will be presented by the
respective research team and executed in a timely manner
