  3. 3. Some Background ....<br />In 1936, a fellow in Toronto patented his original version of a table top hockey game. He built them in his basement, using wood as the prime material.<br />In the early 40’s, the game was sold through the Eaton&apos;s Catalogue for the grand sum of $4.95.<br />Today, any remaining games are truly antiques.<br />The games I built, with the help of plans from Lee Valley, are true replicas of the originals.<br />I built two games, to be shared by our four grandsons and their Dads.<br />
