Why inoculate and which inoculant suits me best?
The incorporation of crop or pasture legumes, in cropping rotations or in pastures is by far the most cost effective alternative
to expensive nitrogenous fertilisers. Provided their roots have been effectively nodulated by specialised root-nodule rhizobia
bacteria - found in inoculants. The millions of rhizobia bacteria which convert nitrogen from the air into a form available to
the plant is a process known as 'nitrogen fixation'. Nitrogen-fixing rhizobia are the active ingredients in all
Becker Underwood inoculants.

BioStacked® - the latest advancement in inoculant technology
BioStacked trial results have show an average increase of up to 14% above conventional inoculants. Containing a
powerful fertiliser “Integral”, Integral is known as a plant growth promoting rhizobacterium (PGPR). The PGPR promotes
greater root and nodule biomass, faster canopy closure and higher yields. An example of ROI, seeing a yield increase from
2 to 2.2/t/ha you get a net grain gain of about 10%. An estimate crop value of $350 to $400/t, you see a winning return of an
extra $70 to $80/ha.

Nodulaid™ - peat based inoculant
Nodulaid is a reliable, self-adhering, peat based inoculant that can be applied in a slurry coating while augering seed into
the drill or by water injection in-furrow (refer table 1). Proprietary formulation with stabilisers allows tank mixing with key
fungicides (refer table 2).
