3. The Continuous movement of water from earth’s surface to
the atomossphere and then back to the ground, the process
called Hydrological cycle or water cycle.
Example;
Lake effect snow fall

4. Hydrological Cycle consist on the major
process;
1. Evaporation
2. Transpiration
3. Condensation
4. Precipitation
5. Run-Off

5. 1. EVAPORATION.......!
“The transfer of water from surface of earth to the
atomosphere in gaseous or vapour form process
called,Evaporation”
The principle source of water vapours is Oceans
but it also occurs in soils,snow and ice.
➡The direct conversion from solid water(snow,ice)to
vapur is called Sublimation

6. 2.TRANSPIRATION .....!
“The evaporation of water through minute
sporesabbat,stomata in the leaves of plants,called
Transpiration”
➡Transpiration & Evaporation from all water,soils,snow,ice
other surface are lamped together are called
Evapotranspiration or total evaporation.

7. 3.CONDENSATION......!
“The process in which water vapour convert into liquid
water, is called Condensation”
➡Condensation is crucial to water cycle because it is
responsible for the formation of clouds.
➡It is opposite of evaporation.

8. 3.PRECIPITATION.....!
The process in which water is released from Clouds in form
of rain,frezing rain,sleet, snow or hail.

9. 4.RUN-OFF.....!
Infiltration(run-off) is the last stage of Hydrological
cycle(water cycle).
➡ In it rain water absorb in ground Via soil And
underlying rock layers.

10. HUMAN ACTIVITY THAT
IMPACT THE WATER
CYCLE....!

Use of toxic chemical in agriculture and
manufecturing.
Run-Off from chemical fertilizers and pesticides
can pollute or seep into ground to contamination
the water supply.

Clear cutting forest reduce the amount of water
plant returns to water atomosphere by
transpiration

13. WHY THE WATER CYCLE IS
IMPORTANT......?
1. 75% of earth is coverd with water & 97.5% of that
water is Salt water.
2. Majority of fresh water come in result by melting
glaciers.
3. Water cycle is not critical only to weather but to life
on earth
4. Condensation is necessary for cloud formation.
5. Evaporation is necessary to cooling and keeping a
good balance of water vapor in Air.
